김지훈 교수는 인하대 사회교육과에서 사회학 과목을 담당하는 사회학자이자 동남아시아와 이주연구(migration studies) 전문가이다.
이민자/이주자/다문화 가족의 이주 경험, 동남아시아와 한국의 트랜스내셔널 가족(Transnational Families), 글로벌 교육 이주(Educational Migration)를 주로 연구 하고 있다.
Ageing and Society, Journal of Adolescent Research 등의 국제 저널과 Oxford University Press 등에서 발간하는 학술서에 저자로 참여해왔으며, Ageing and Society, Global Networks, Asian and Pacific Migration Journal 등 가족학, 글로벌 사회연구와 이주연구 분야의 국제저널에서 심사자로도 활발히 활동하고 있다.
